Theather backdrop oerol
The popular annual Dutch theatre festival “OEROL” attracts more than 55.000 visitors each year. The festival has a focus on street- and location theatre and many performances take place outside or in temporary theatres.
The Dutch theatre production company NUT (Nieuw Utrechts Toneel) asked us to help produce sand sculptures as part of the back drop of their performance “Futuristen”. A spectacular setting and amazing location to work, right on the beach of the beautiful island of Terschelling. At one point, we were literally working IN the sea, but like we always say: HARD WORK, MAKES ART WORK! A big thank you to Lipkje for her talented sculpting!
